While discussing my children...
Arabella: They're so much better than anything I've ever made before.
(pause)
Arabella (wistfully): Even better than the clay puppy mug I made in third grade.
C.S.: And that was some mug.
Arabella: It really was.
(pause)
Arabella: So what, it couldn't hold liquid. It had little ears.
C.S.: Ears trump usability.

Have to tell you, I read your blog from start to finish yesterday. Can you tell I do not have newborn twins? Just a job that allows me time to read...and I really enjoy your blog. I will be checking back to read more!

Ears make great mug handles. And you can always keep pencils in it rather than liquid. The uses of a clay mug go far beyond drinking.
