About Me
- Name: Arabella

Thirty-three-year-old wife, aspiring writer, perspiring mother, and native New Yorker. I blog about random thoughts, city living, foodsnobbery, and raising twins (and formerly about infertility, or at least the specter of it). I update whenever I'm not changing diapers, working, screaming at the cable company, reading about serial killers, or answering "Why?" E-mail me at arabella at trattoriabreve dot com.

I knew about half of these. Love Mitch Hedburg and so sad that he died this year. Laura Nyro has the voice of an angel. Thanks for broadening my horizons.
I'll add Andrew Bird, the most amazing concert I saw this year and my favorite artist/photographer of the moment, Adam Fuss. His exhibit is currently at the Fraenkel Gallery in San Fransisco.
I would add Mattie Stepanek, http://www.mattieonline.com/about.htm
He had Dysautonomic Mitochondrial Myopathy, but he still wrote books and had a great outlook on life.
This is very nice. I love Shel and I did not know many of the others.
I love this post Arabella. It reminds me of the part during the Oscars when they show all the actors that died in the preceding year and I always cry.
I'll add Fred Rogers.
Thank you all for your contributions! I realize now that Olivia Hussey is the only living person on the list; this was unintentional. I guess a lot of people I like have died in recent years. In case there was any question, she is very much alive, and still lovely.
Mignon--I was somewhat inspired to do this by the Oscars' tribute to those who died. Last year's Oscars telecast was how I learned that Carrie Snodgress had died.
I already miss Vincent Schiavelli and he just died! He was so cool.
I keep meaning to listen to Laura Nyro and now I guess I will have to download some stuff onto my spanky new iPod.
TB, Andrew Bird is also on my list, as I heard one of his songs and loved it.
